Chafee is an HRDC referral-based program which provides eligible foster care youth support while in foster care and continues to provide assistance when transitioning into the greater community. The program provides guidance in life skills, vocational training, job training, financial assistance and budgeting, substance abuse prevention and transition to self-sufficiency. Referrals are usually made through CPS.
